Acceptable Use Policy
Content standards, prohibited categories, content review and how to report misuse on Tiny Desk AI Show.
Last updated: 2026-10-29
Photo permissions
Use only photos of adults that you are entitled to use, with permission to use each person’s likeness. Use one person per photo. Use JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB each.
Content standards and prohibited categories
These rules apply to the photos you upload, the videos you generate and how you share them. Content in any of the following six categories is prohibited:
- Sexual or NSFW content — nudity, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive material, and photos intended to sexualize the people shown.
- Violence and gore — graphic violence, injury, blood or gore, threats, or content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism or self-harm.
- Hate speech and harassment — content that attacks, demeans or threatens people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability or serious illness, and content used to bully, harass or intimidate anyone.
- Child safety (CSAM) — any photo of a minor. Only adults may appear in uploads. Child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors, is strictly prohibited; we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement where required.
- Deepfakes and impersonation — using a person’s photo or likeness without their permission, or presenting a generated video as a real recording to deceive, defraud, defame or mislead, including impersonating public figures, officials or brands.
- Copyright and trademark infringement — photos or uses that infringe another party’s copyright, trademark, publicity or privacy rights, including logos, artwork or images you do not have the right to use.
Public figures, coaches and parody
Use only your own photo or photos of people who agreed to be in the video. Do not upload photos of public figures, politicians, celebrities, athletes or coaches to make a video that could mislead viewers, or to advertise or endorse anything. When you share a video, label it as AI-generated and do not present it as a real performance. Tiny Desk AI Show is independent and not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts or any artist.
You must also not use Tiny Desk AI Show for any unlawful purpose, interfere with other users, or bypass account, security, rate or payment controls.
How content is reviewed
- Automated pre-check. Before a task is created, every photo is checked by an automated content moderation service for sexual and other sensitive material. Flagged photos are rejected and no credits are used. If the check cannot be completed, the task is not created.
- Fixed generation. There is no free-text prompt: the video uses a fixed scene, prompt and pre-written lyrics, which limits what the model can produce.
- Private by default. Generated videos are private to your account in your library and are never published automatically. Only examples we have reviewed and approved appear publicly.
- Human review. Reports and any content flagged as a potential violation are reviewed by the Tiny Desk AI Show operator, who decides on the action.
Enforcement
When we find or confirm a violation we may, depending on severity: refuse processing, delete the affected photos and videos, withhold or reverse credits obtained through abuse, and suspend or permanently close the account. Child-safety violations lead to immediate account closure and reporting to NCMEC and the relevant authorities. Repeat or serious violations result in permanent removal.
Report a concern
Anyone can report content or misuse — including people who believe their photo or likeness was used without permission — by emailing support@tinydeskaishow.com or using the contact options below. Include the task ID or video link if you have it and a short description of the concern. Do not send passwords, payment credentials or private photos.
How reports are handled:
- We acknowledge your report within 7 business days.
- The operator reviews the report against this policy. Access to the reported content is suspended while it is under review where needed.
- We take action within 7 business days (child-safety reports immediately, as a priority) and tell you the outcome where appropriate.
- If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake, reply to our message to request a second review.
Sharing your video
AI-generated results can differ from the people in the input photos. Do not misrepresent a generated performance as an authentic recording. A credit purchase does not grant any rights to the music, recording or depicted people: post with sound your platform allows, such as the silent copy with the platform’s own sound library. Obtain the permissions needed for your intended use.
